The UN's 2020 Creative Call: Crafting a COVID Social Distancing Campaign

The objective? To conceptualize and deliver a compelling campaign advocating for social distancing, one of the key preventive measures in the fight against the virus.

Answering this call, my submission sought to strike a chord through simplicity and universality. Drawing inspiration from universally recognized symbols, I embraced the iconic representation of humans — a symbol familiar across diverse cultures and languages. This ensured that the message was not confined by language barriers or cultural nuances.

Central to the idea was the incorporation of an auditory element: the sound of coughing. By juxtaposing this unsettling sound with the human icons, I aimed to underscore the dangers posed by the absence of adequate distancing in public spaces. It wasn't just a campaign; it was a clarion reminder that our collective actions have repercussions, that maintaining distance today can bridge the distances we feel tomorrow.
