Cendyn stands at the forefront of software management solutions within the hospitality sector. Over the past decade, they've significantly expanded their portfolio, integrating new technologies and constantly innovating.

Family in the Cloud

With rapid expansion came challenges: a myriad of software products with disparate interfaces, some bearing outdated user experiences. For hospitaliers visiting Cendyn's website, gaining a succinct understanding of product features proved challenging.

The project's objectives were clear yet multifaceted:

Unified Design Approach: Cendyn's diverse range of products necessitated the creation of a coherent, hierarchical design system. This system would encapsulate all products and features, presenting them in a digestible format.
Segmented Design System: With the 'Cendyn Hospitality Cloud' being a web of interlinked features and collaborations, there was a pressing need to segment the design system, focusing on catering to specialized niches.
Highlighting Core Features: The task involved distilling the essence of each product and spotlighting its standout features. This entailed crafting over 80 product illustrations, each pinpointing unique selling propositions. To further engage and inform, animations were incorporated to underscore the significance of each feature.

Existing Product

Cendyn, over time, has significantly broadened its software suite through a series of strategic mergers and acquisitions. This rapid expansion, while beneficial in many ways, introduced a level of inconsistency across the diverse product offerings. Recognizing this challenge, I embarked on an in-depth exploration of the various unique features and functionalities embedded in different Cendyn products.

This deep dive not only provided clarity on the inherent synergies and possible groupings but also illuminated the pathways for creating a more harmonized and cohesive design language. By understanding the core essence of each product, I was able to propose a unified design approach, ensuring both individual product integrity and a consistent brand experience.

Wireframe System

To kick off the endeavor, I initiated a design framework using Figma. Collaborating closely with Cendyn's internal UX team provided invaluable insights, steering the direction of the representative mockups. Each product had its own story, and by liaising with diverse product managers, I delved into the core attributes of the multitude of Cendyn's software offerings.

Design

The culmination of this intense collaboration and innovation can be witnessed at cendyn.com: a repository of over 80 vibrant illustrations, both animated and static. Each illustration belongs to a specific color-coded family, complete with bespoke animations crafted through Lottie, and HTML5 exports via After Effects. Together, they serve as the cohesive face of Cendyn's offerings, providing prospective customers a holistic view of what the 'Hospitality Cloud' truly encompasses.
